Servo Motor

The Servo Motor is a rotary actuator that allows precise control of angular position. It is widely used in robotics, automation, and remote-control systems to move parts accurately.

How It Works?

A servo motor uses a small DC motor, gears, and a feedback potentiometer. The Arduino sends PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signals to the servo control pin, adjusting the shaft’s angle based on the signal width.

Key Features

  • Precise angular control (0°–180°)
  • Compact and energy-efficient
  • Works directly with Arduino PWM pins
  • Ideal for robotic arms and sensors

Applications in Robotics & IoT

Servo motors are widely used where precise position control is required.

Robotic Arms

Provides precise joint movement for mechanical arms.

RC Planes & Cars

Controls steering, flaps, and throttle with accuracy.

Automatic Doors

Used in smart systems for opening/closing mechanisms.

Camera Gimbals

Helps stabilize and position cameras precisely.
